The Vienna Yacht Club is a small grass roots organization dedicated to preserving the local environment. This organization began when a group of kayakers (our small yachts) came together in friendship and with a determination to clean up and maintain the areas we enjoy. Our interest in kayaking has created the desire for us to become involved in many other outdoor sports and activities such as mountain biking, camping, and fishing just to name a few.

With the joy of the outdoors has come a sense of responsibility; stewardship has become a priority. The members of the Vienna Yacht Club feel the best way to maintain our local environment is to share the environment with people who are often not exposed to it.

In our efforts to help the environment we are creating a network of people that are interested in outdoor sports and maintaining the environment that supports them. Our hope is that this network continues to grow so as to bring together those people who want to actively participate in using and maintaining our native habitat.
